The “Parents Against Child Detention” group was organized to combat the widespread phenomenon of child detention in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and for the rights of Palestinian minors in criminal proceedings. The group works to expose the phenomenon of arrests of Palestinian minors, and to reduce the violent and systematic violation of their rights, which undermines the principle of the best interests of the child. We work and work to promote the protections to which minors are entitled, in accordance with the principles of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child.
